o verbo TO BE pode ser abreviado com o pronome pessoal da seguinte forma: I am
= I’m,   He is = He’s,   She is = She’s,    It is = It’s,   You are = You’re,   We are = We’re,   They are = They’re.
Forma Interrogativa
Presente: Are you a good
student?     → verbo antes do sujeito
Passado: Were you sick?                               → verbo antes do
sujeito 
Futuro:
           Will you be
free tomorrow?   → apenas “will” antes do sujeito 
Forma negativa
Presente: She is
not my teacher.                     →
to be + NOT*
Passado:
         We weren’t enemies.              →
to be + NOT*
Futuro:            I won’t be here tonight.          → will + NOT = won’t 
*Atenção: podemos empregar o verbo TO
BE na forma negativa, abreviado ou não. Porém, o verbo “am” não pode ser abreviado com “not”. Veja:
